The Brand

Inspired by Beach Days in Clifton

This brand was born from my love for South Africa — its rich creativity, joyful spirit, and exceptional craftsmanship. I am Rebecca, the founder of Clifton Days, and used to live in South Africa before I moved to Dubai. Days spent on Clifton Beach are one of my fondest memories of my time in Cape Town.

The first brand that I want to share with you from South Africa is Coast and Koi. The most beautiful and unique designer shoes, handmade by a real artist.

Stylish, locally handmade and eye catching

Coast & Koi was established by designer Caryn Wilensky. She truly is the soul of the brand and constant source of inspiration. If you have the chance to go to Cape Town, visit her in her one-of-a-kind studio, her warmth and creative spirit are unmissable.

Her vision was to create a shoe brand that stands for classic elegance, unique design and individual style paired with craftmanship. Coast and Koi are carefully crafted, handmade artisanal shoes using only quality fabric, leather or vegan materials.

Our story

Coast and Koi in Dubai

This was my first visit to Coast and Koi many years ago. I was immediately captivated. All the different shoes and embellishments—handcrafted and offering so many ways to elevate my outfits. It took a little while to turn my idea into reality, but now the time has come: co-created with Caryn, our first collection lands in Dubai. And I could not be more excited to share these amazing, handcrafted treasures with fellow style enthusiasts.
